Executive Summary

NC Freedom Fest is an annual non-profit festival in Downtown Goldsboro, North Carolina, dedicated to honoring active-duty military personnel, veterans, and first responders. Located just minutes from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, the festival draws thousands of attendees every year for live music, food vendors, car shows, and family activities.

The organization needed a modern, mobile-responsive web platform to act as the primary operational hub for event logistics, sponsor acquisition, vendor applications, and schedule releases. Signature Web Designer was brought on to overhaul the user experience and rebuild the site structure using WordPress and Elementor Pro.

• Confusing Site Architecture: The previous layout lacked clear navigation hierarchy, forcing attendees to hunt across fragmented pages for key details like festival schedules, parking maps, and event guidelines.

• Streamlined Navigation Hub: Re-architected the sitemap into six intuitive landing zones: Home, Event Schedule, Vendor Village, Sponsors, Volunteer, and Contact / FAQs.

• Mobile-First Interaction Model: Designed every layout specifically for mobile users on cellular networks, prioritizing instant access to the event map and main-stage schedule.

2. Elementor Pro & Custom CSS Engineering

• Flexbox Container Architecture: Rebuilt the site structure in Elementor Pro using dynamic Flexbox containers, lowering total DOM depth and significantly reducing page payload.

• Custom CSS Bug Fixes: Injected targeted CSS snippets directly into theme modules to eliminate past-footer scrolling artifacts, contain horizontal overflow, and standardize global hyperlinking.

• Dynamic Template System: Developed modular layout templates for key pages (Vendor Directory, Sponsor Tier Displays, Stage Schedules) to ensure visual consistency across all viewports.

• Integrated Web Workflows: Replaced fragmented inquiry processes with structured, multi-field Elementor forms for vendor sign-ups and volunteer onboarding.
